I am a very experienced and passionate designer based near Brighton.
I love helping teams solve problems and come up with intriguing and innovative solutions. I am a firm believer in collaboration, as good ideas come from everywhere.
I use a hypothesis driven approach to constantly observe, listen, learn, and iterate, focusing on four ingredients, a target audience, the key opportunity or problem, how we are going to best meet this and how we know we are successful to complete that learning and iteration loop.
At BBC, I helped develop concepts for R&D to explore how we can engage audiences across IPTV, mobile apps and websites. I even led a project working with London Zoo and Hewlett Packard Research Labs that introduced QR codes to the UK.
At Reed Exhibitions, I introduced prototyping and usability testing to validate design ideas early and better communicate ideas across the business and development teams.
At Virgin Holidays, I fostered relationships between marketing and development teams to harness and action on the insights each team had, creating a customer journey map that is still used a number of years later and developed cost saving holiday app and post booking service.
At Aventri, I introduced design sprints and lean methodologies to deliver projects such as Express Events (Registration, Email campaign, branding, content management, virtual and reporting) within 2.5 months from concept to release (now a key strategic product). I led the design of the new Virtual product, responding to market needs, due to COVID, within 3 months utilising stakeholder workshops, prototyping early and iterating often based on feedback and validation.
